they didnt and if its an 88 it cant legally be an L plate as I am sure 88 is either an E or F plate ! very odd !

The above said I did have a friend who bought a d reg MK1 and when he test drove it the woman had the plates made with her name and just stuck them on top of the others and said she didnt know you couldnt do it ! bet she never got a speeding ticket and to make matters worse she had a horse and moved a bale of hey round in it ! Such abuse for such a classic car !
