There are some days when I should not be allowed anywhere near tools in fact I probably shouldn't be allowed out of the padded cell. You may have seen my post the other day when I knackered my vice trying to push out a bearing, well gave it to a friend who knocked it out with so much ease he couldn't understand what I was doing wrong (me neither). Anyhow comes to start putting things back together to day only to find I shouldn't have got the bush knocked out in the first place, it can't be replaced with a polybush & is a spherical bush that is not available so I now have to replace the hubs. To say I'm well pissed is a bit of an understatement.

Alan, please do not use confusing terminology in posts, this encourages the colonials to carry out further aberrations with the mother tongue.
'Pissed' (USA) Total dissatisfaction with the status quo.
'Pissed' (UK) Loss of general faculties due to excessive alcohol consumption
'Pissed off' (UK) Total dissatisfaction with the status quo - original - the Shermans only removed the second word so they could pretend it was their own.

Although I can't understand it not being available MrT can't expect it to least forever surely?

They pretty much do last forever though, a Mk2 has one on its rear hub/tie rod arm, can't ever remember needing to change one.

Just found them on Fleecebay but at a price I can ignore

Ouch. Do you know if they're different from Mk2 ones, because it might be easier (and cheaper) to go back to your mates with a whole Mk2 hub......

Once I was pissed because I wasn't able to get pissed.

Then I got pissed and was no longer pissed. :)

The moral of the story is, buy a used hub somewhere and don't be pissed, then go get pissed.

Only just sold the passenger side hub, but I have the drivers side one still. Will do it slightly cheaper to save on the ebay/paypal tax.

Yay! He's back!

Any sign of those flexi joints? Or did they go the way of the eBay?

Hey congrats on the new baby. New babies are better than new puppies because your baby won't chew every single thing in the house! Good choice!

If that was a pair, I'd consider it myself, but I think that is each?!

And the fuckwittery continues, 120 mile round trip last night to pick up 2x 2nd hand hubs, tried to hammer the bush out this morning (not the spherical one) and snaps a calliper mounting off FFS step away from the hammer. Anyway luckily managed to push out the spherical of the new old hub & fit it into the old old hub & then proceeded to fit it to the car. Hopefully the stupidity bottle is now empty for the year, but I very much doubt it.

Holy crap. Been there. Lost it big time. Well done for walking away.

Big deep breaths, regroup and carry on. If it was easy, everyone would do it.

Well it all looks like it ended well, need to go get 4 wheel tracking, but it doesn't feel that far out, it seems to drive straight, although those 16" on the back look huge, or maybe it's just the camera angle.
