I took out my motor and switched every seal and gasket for it. ( 254k Miles )
Put in a New Fidanza Flywheel ( got it for cheap ) Part #:130901
Put in a New Exedy Clutch Kit ( Rockauto.com ) Part # 16073

everything installed without a problem, installed the motor with transmission. Motor turns on beautifully but now my Clutch isnt getting no pressure. My friend and I bled the clutch for a hour straight. No luck. it took us 4 days after taking it out to install it back in the bay.
he tried using a vacuum ( no luck )
Clutch feels like there is no pressure plate.
Any comment would be appreciated it. you can also reach me at FullSlick_Motorsports@ AolDotCom

Before we drop the engine, Clutch had perfect Pressured. Now nothing

Hello and welcome to TwoBrutal! Most people start with an introduction though ;)

What car / engine / gearbox have you?
If you press the clutch pedal down, is the slave cylinder moving? They are a bugger to bleed.

No problem my friend, this isn't 'that kind' of forum, you will find us quite easy to get on with and willing to help.

Either the seals have gone in your master or slave (unlikely), or you still have air in the system (very bloody likely!).

Don't bother taking the engine out for starters! It's worth having a look at the one man bleed kits, or (if you're a bit tasty with making things) make one that pressurises the master cylinder from the tyre valve.

http://tinyurl.com/q7t3aur

One of these kits will force fluid under pressure and drive out the air. Air compresses very well of course, so it doesnt take much to cause a problem.

You can also try bleeding it backwards:-

Hope this helps, shout back and let us know how you get on.

Chris.

funny you should say that....I just swapped the slave on my mates standard g ltd....was original, couldn't get it to bleed as the master was gone too:(

but that would be a freak occurrence at best...

or get your air compressor running with a dust gun...and push the fluid through the system(use a very low pressure as you will pop the lid off the ...(there is a vent under the cap at the centre you can put the air in...just don't let the tide get to low...gets most of the hard stuff done)

so i would put brake fluid inside the container and it will pump it into the system?

Yes, these devices all achieve the same thing; forcing fluid uphill into the system.

Air generally rises, so bleeding it backwards actually makes more sense.

I bled the brakes and the clutch grabbed a little bit more pressure......does anybody else but me find that odd?

I use the above tool for bleeding Mr2 clutches and it works perfectly, takes around 30secs to do.

It's like there's a conspiracy.

Seriously though, we have had people on here spent literally days trying to bleed a clutch.

They're a bugger if you're not familiar with them.

Always Loved the Stylish MR2 but couldnt afford one, So in NY...Hondas are the things til my civic was stolen. Took my income tax return and bought me a MR2. So Now im getting around it. Saw the V6 swap and bought it. Just slowly in the process but for now i need my motor to run as healthy as she can. Found And Bought My Toyota service manual For my 92 MR2, had it taken apart, copied and laminated. I will post it all up incase anybody wants to use it for future refrence

even if the slave cylinder was open to the atmosphere for more than 3 days?
Thats good to hear, hopefully it works out for me
If the clutch was pressed while the slave cylinder was disconnected/opened, would that have a affect on it? being that the push rod isnt being placed back in its location from the fluids return. so technically it would be stuck out instead of returning to its original position

Aha, interesting. You might have dislodged the seal in the slave cylinder. So when you press the pedal it shifts around the piston rather than actually pushing it. Can't remember if there's two seals, inner and outer.

It might be worth taking the slave off and inspecting it, just in case. That way you know you're hot to trot. Or not. :)

ok so today, i bench bled the clutch master cylinder but it isnt as stiff/strong/ or pressured as a master brake cylinder.....is it suppose to be like that or are they both suppose to have the same pressure.
aside from that, i still bled the bloody hail out of it........no problems there but it felt more softer than i usual feel it should be or my mind is playing tricks on me.
cant do nothing about bleeding it in reverse since the tool hasnt arrived, but the transmission fork isnt moving at all.......

if im correct, this will cause the ABS light to come on if you aren't a lucky person being that ABS does the pushing and doesn't like the return. You will simply bleed the brakes but send all the micro pieces of the master cylinder push rod seals to clogged a car equipped with ABS.

i could be wrong but that how I would see it theoretically

Try putting a pry bar/screw driver between the piston and the fork, pry the piston into the slave.

Then bleed as normal. Its that pocket of air in the slave that causes the most grief. Just be careful not to damage the piston etc.

Will try tomorrow Morning, 2004 BMW 325 came with 8 Check Engine Lights this morning and just left happy everything is good. My car is there looking depress.

Fixed a BMW but can't seem to grasp the concept of my very own issues that my car is giving me.

But This is definitely a experience.

and i cracked open the clutch slave cylinder bleeder valve, and get hamster water bottle drops when i press the clutch pedal down
