WTF is missing here?
Is it ok to leave out?
Will I get performance gains/loss?
How should it go? I looked at Paul Woods examples and it seems it goes as shown in my diagram below. I am sure it's important if he put it there.

Can't see those either.

Upload them to photobucket and link from there!

Btw I think it's the PCV breather missing. Is this important enough for me to put one? I don't even think my metal intake pipe has a spot.

It's just your cam cover breather, plumb it up to your intake pipe like it is on the Camry.

You mean specially fit it into the intake pipe since there is no spot for it.?

Paul Woods

Yes, drill the intake and have a pipe welded onto it, in fact there is a metal pipe perfect for this on your original Camry rubber intake hose you could even just polyurethane or JB weld into place.

Really.. Wow, sweet. I'm going to the junk yard next Sunday then for this. I'll JB weld it. :D
Is it ok to run it like this for now? I been beating the guts out of it, and just noticed this. :/ Can I keep this up?

Curious.. I found this free power upgrade page I had saved. Already done the 7 clicks on the afm. Dyno sometime in the near future for my own proof. Does seem a little more peppy up middle to top. I wanted to do the AFM closer to the Throttle mod. Thinking about having little room on that setup I wouldn't be able to include the PCV hookup as we concluded.

So looking at the picture below from http://www.twobrutal.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?9052-free-power-upgrades-on-the-3vzfe
It shows that it is NOT hooked up. So I can only conclude if I want to do that mod then I would leave that PCV deal out of the mix.

or put a breather (small filter) on the end - same with the other one under the plenum.

Nasty hot engine gases! ew!

7 clicks is risky, I've played with the AFM on 3 different 3vzfe setups on the dyno and 3-5 clicks was plenty lean enough with AFR's in the mid 13's.

Just pop it back to stock and change a click or 2 when on the dyno, much safer.

If you have the means to detect detonation (det cans) at the dyno, advance the timing forward also. I found around 17degrees was the sweet spot for my setup.

Both timing and fueling will see around the same gains. I've seen car go from 155whp to 177, in same dyno session with just these mods.

I thought 7 clicks would be fine since my dyno shows im BUBER rich. See below.

You still think I should scale back to 5 clicks? At 7 clicks it feels amazing.

Or, an oil catch can if you want to keep that engine bay clean. Then stick a filter on that.

turn the dizzy right? which way for advance? does this show how many degrees on the dyno screen?

Ignition timing was set with a timing strobe, with the ECU in diagnostics mode. Can't remember which way to turn the dizzy, too busy watching the crank pulley but the strobe will guide you in. The Toyota stock position is 10 degrees advance, I've got mine at around 17 degree's. To be honest I didn't go beyond this and only changed it from stock straight to 17 degree's, this was based on other peoples results. I think there's a thread somewhere with a back to back dyno test of several timing positions but I can for the life in me remember where.

Yes, yes. I need to advance timing as well. Hmm wonder where the post is for that? Anyone know???
