Is it possible to tell an LSD box from the outside?

Nope

Nope ( you can look at the shaft from the outside, but if my memory serves me right this wasnt a 100% guarantee)

Will a Rev 2 Turbo LSD fit into a Rev 1 N/A box?

If you have a NA box and want an LSD, the MK3 LSD might be a cheap and cheerfull alternative.
