Was looking at personalised plates, and stumbled upon this:

Nice, but impossible to put on a mk1, the plate needs to be older than the car it is going on by law.

If you *really* wanted the plate, could you export the car, and then import it again, so first year of registration would apply? Or doesn't it work like that? I don't really know anything about imports or registration plates.

I was only looking for something good for small change: all the REALLY decent plates are £10k+...!!
