had my battery in the boot before but now with doing more work to the car moving battery to the front boot but wondering what size cable should be used?
The thicker the better. Distance causes resistance so the better the cable the less resistance and loss of amperage.

was thinking of using this 25mm welding earth wire

Looks good, but check out Maplin for their off the reel prices they have come out cheaper on a few things. Plus you can drive there and collect rather than having to be in to receive it.

ok willtry there too they do upto 50mm2 what size would you gofor i m thinking just go for 50mm2 save on the current drop
If you look at a good quality jump lead they are about 25mm2 I wouldn't go any thicker than that.
