my car is strange?!?!

when i had the car sprayed a few months ago we found that the car had usdm front wings, we know this as we found the holes in front of the wheel arch where they attach to over there.

When i met rowdan on the weekend(thanks for the wheel!), i noticed that my aerial was on the different side to his. mine's on the left side and his was on the right.

anyone able to explain this all to me?!?

also, its an 87car but has a bluetop engine, but tvis opens at the higher rev mark so should be a redtop?!?!

its beyond me....sounds like a US import converted to RHD!

doesnt say on logbook anything bout import. would it do so?

fuctifino matey,i cant explain why its got usdm wings and ariel on the wrong side...very odd.....ive no idea if it would say something on the V5.

you could try a car check on the reg and see if it drags anything up.i would think an import would show but i`m not sure how far back they go.
another thought try your local toyota dealer with your chassis number.

the previous owner did a carcheck and give it to me when i purchased the car, didt see anything strange on it!

type your reg number into the dvla website... it'll come up with a 1st registered in the uk date :-k

all looks normal to me except the colour is wrong. my car is silver not blue!!!

It said the same on the hpi check, but my car has never been blue, even the VIN plate gives the colour code as 166(super silver metallic)?!?!

Maybe its been in a crash at some point and had some parts replaced and the whole car resprayed at the same time?

perhaps it was originally silver ... as the vin plate and dvla indicate... i.e its been colour changed at some point... have u looked behind the trim in the frunk and the boot to see if its a different colour?

yep and is all silver with original stickers in places as well. so vin is silver, car has always been silver(i think), but dvla say blue! and i have usdm aerial position and front wing
