the car died on me yesterday and wouldn't restart, it's been doing this occasionally for a couple of months, luckily this time it was on my driveway! I've read out code 14 "No IGF signal to ECU 8-11 times in succession".
The BGB says go through the steps on page FI-45. But the first two steps (check IGT voltage) require the car to be idling, but it won't start, duh! There's no signal at IGT when ignition is on.
The spark test on page IG-5 says "check IGT signal from ECU" and doesn;t state it should be cranking/idling.
I don't really get what IGT and IGF do, and how to test them.
I've read this could be the ignitor ground, umm, where is it / what does it look like? :slap: (can;t find picture :))
