ive just been offered a set of Rev 3 front an rear turbo arbsfor 20 quid each plus delivery. Do these fit the mk1 ok ?
Ive been reading a few posts and it seems a muddle of yes it fits straight on an no you need to bodge it.

Can someone shed some light ?

thanks:wave:

As far as I'm aware the rear will be OK, not sure on the front.

Rear will be ok but you'll need the correct sized bushes for them, they're obviously thicker than standard.

Again, no idea about front.

main consensus is that the front arb is too stiff for the mk1 and most have stayed with the mk1 version - its a lot thicker than the rear - and just changed the rear as has been already mentioned. i got the universal bushes from http://www.needforspeed.co.uk/pages/sbv_pl.asp?Vehicle=UV___01&PartType=BUS04 they come in various sizes!!

they are differing sizes through the rev's . i think the rev 3 is the largest of them though. if i remember i swapped mine with adamh and the difference was 2mm from rev2 to rev3.

its from a rev 3, but from a N/A one, are they the same as the turbo arbs ?

From memory;

mk1 fronts are 18mm
mk2 fronts are 22mm?
mk1 rears are 12mm
mk2 rears are 18/19mm.

Its something I'm going to look at doing next year once I've set up the suspension.

IIRC MK2 front range from 17 - 19mm
Larger ones tend to be after market
